In a world that promotes chaos, rewards sensationalism, and requires instant results, Scripture invites us to slow down, lean in, and listen —to ground our thoughts in truth, to live in submission to that which is holy, and to pursue the strength of substance over the chaos of attention.

hunger for the depth of life that God provides us in the pages of Scripture, but sometimes we can feel confused by the ancient stories and unfamiliar customs. Yet when we learn to approach Scripture the way it was meant to be read, it will feel less like a puzzle and more like a conversation with God.
That is what my lifelong journey as a student of God’s Word has taught me. I have spent more than a decade on church staff and more than 2 decades as a writer, but I am still a student first.
